Why OPUS?

Long before this venture took shape, the name Opus lingered in Clare’s thoughts – an elegant, evocative word that felt just right for something this meaningful.  Traditionally used to describe a literary or artistic masterpiece, or the complete body of someone’s life’s work, in this sense, Opus speaks to dedication, creativity and purpose.  It is the perfect reflection of what this new chapter represents – a bold start built on experience, passion and a vision to inspire and empower others.

What does OPUS stand for?

Beyond its literal meaning, OPUS embodies the essence of our mission. Each letter reflects a core pillar of our approach:  Identifying Opportunity
Realising Potential
Unleashing talent
Striving for Success
It’s more than a name – it’s the framework that drives everything we do as a business.

Who is the founder of OPUS professional development?

Meet Clare

Clare is a passionate advocate for individual potential, with a career rooted in learning and development within the people-centric hospitality sector.  Her professional journey has been shaped by roles in some of the UK and Europe’s most luxurious hotels, affirming her belief that people are the true drivers of excellence.  She champions the idea that meaningful engagement and development are fundamental to organisational success.

Her career began at the Hotel School in Singapore, embedding hospitality as a core part of her identity.  As she progressed through various Human Resources roles, Clare discovered a strong affinity for training and development, consistently supported by continuing professional development programmes across the organisations she has served.

Clare’s experience spans both in-house corporate environments and freelance consultancy, allowing her to design, deliver, and evaluate learning interventions tailored to individuals and teams.  Her strategic approach to development places people at the heart of business growth.  As well as being a Coaching and Insights Discovery practitioner, Clare is licensed with People First International to deliver the Train the Trainer, Management First and Introduction to Coaching.  She is a Fellow with the Institute of Hospitality and the Learning and Performance Institute.
